Exporting is free, but it's the one action that asks for a flowshow account. Sign in with Apple, Google or email — or create an account right on that screen. Your photos, drafts and videos never leave the device.
Help & FAQ
Quick answers about exporting, accounts and your photos.
Export
MP4 and MOV use the same encoder and differ mainly in container: MP4 is the safest choice for sharing, MOV is there when an app asks for .mov. MOV+α keeps a transparent background (HEVC with alpha) for overlaying in another editor. GIF is a silent loop, capped at 720p and 30 fps.
1080p at 30 fps is the sweet spot for most posts. 4K and 8K are for cropping in or showing detail: they take much longer and produce much larger files. 60 fps smooths fast motion and doubles the frames rendered. Exports above 4096 px switch to HEVC automatically.
Every frame is rendered and encoded on the device — nothing is uploaded. 8K, 60 fps and long loop durations multiply the frame count, so keep flowshow open until the progress bar finishes.
Saving uses add-only Photos access. If it was declined once, allow it in Settings → Apps → flowshow → Photos, then save again from the export screen. You can also share the file directly without saving.
Account
From the export sign-in screen, use Sign in with Apple, Continue with Google, or create an account with email and password. Any of them is free and only needed for exporting.
Open Profile → Account → Delete account. That permanently deletes the flowshow account and signs you out. Projects and exports stored on the device stay where they are.
Drafts and finished exports are stored on each device, not in the cloud. Share or save the videos you want to keep before switching; a new phone starts with an empty Projects tab.
Editing
Open a template and use the Media, Style, Frame and Text panels under the preview. Style holds that template's own sliders and options plus the background; Frame handles aspect ratio, loop duration (3–60 s) and motion pace. Your photos and background survive a style switch.
The editor is immersive so the tool switcher isn't crowded by Home, Projects and Profile. Leave with the back chevron — unsaved changes offer Save Draft or Discard.
The Projects tab keeps drafts and exports. Leaving the editor offers Save Draft or Discard, and sending the app to the background saves automatically. Reopening a draft restores its photos, settings and layers.
Yes. The Text panel edits the overlay copy and holds the logo picker for templates that support one.
Privacy
No. Photos are read from your library, rendered with ImageRenderer and encoded with AVAssetWriter entirely on the device. The only network traffic is account sign-in and session checks.
Your account email, display name and sign-in provider. Templates, drafts and videos never leave the device unless you share them.
